Do we really know how much our cars are worth?

The old saying goes, 'It’s only worth as much as someone wants to pay'. Cars are advertised at certain prices, but do they achieve that price?

There are basic guides available in classic car publications, cars for sale on various websites or at classic car auction houses, plus values that have been agreed with our insurance companies.
We have tried to combine as much information as possible from these different areas to put together a realistic guide to each model. We will also report on recent prices achieved, to justify these values where possible, and provide a report in Slice.

Values are broken down into the following categories: ‘Fair’, ‘Good’ and ‘Excellent'. We have not attempted to value a full restoration or a concours car.
Fair – daily drivers with flaws visible, be it mechanical, bodywork or interior.
Good – cars that are well presented and with no obvious faults.
Excellent – cars that would be able to win local classic car shows.
We have not included Sabre 4/6 due to low productions levels and cars still in existence. Price will vary considerably due to condition and individual history and can be anything up to £25,000+.
